5th Annual SAG Members Only Virtual Art Show
Watercolorist Rafael DeSoto, Jr., will be judging both the Art and Photography sections of Sequoia Art Group’s 2025 Members Only Virtual Art Show in mid-October. Rafael is a lifelong artist whose father was a renowned New York illustrator which fostered an informal maestro-apprentice way of learning traditional art that no school could ever offer. Rafael obtained a degree in advertising art and illustration and worked as a graphic designer throughout his career. An early adopter of Photoshop, he also worked at Adobe as a Quality Assurance engineer; he then worked as an art director and senior designer for notable high tech companies including SGI, Adobe, Apple, and other marketing design firms; and is now retired from commercial art and paints every day. He conducts public art classes around the San Francisco Bay Area and holds private classes in his San Carlos studio, and is a member of Santa Clara Valley Watercolor Society, the Pacific Art League, the Burlingame Art Society, the Society of West-Coast Artists and the Los Gatos Art Association. Visit his website at Rafael DeSoto. Jr. Fine Art.
